Find FRS Healthy Energy Products at a Discount

FRS Healty Energy products are based on an antioxidant, Quercetin. Natural sources of Quercetin include apples, grapes, blueberries, onions, and teas. While the American Cancer Society indicates that there is not yet reliable evidence that Quercetin prevents or treats cancer in humans, there is interest in it's properties as an anti-inflammatory, as well as anti-tumor and anti-viral properties, according to Quercetinfacts.com. FRS has particularly developed their products with endurance aspects in mind, and their use for athletes.

My husband came across the products a couple of years ago, and found that they were useful for him, in his day to day work life. While he has tried the various FRS Healthy Energy products, including the healthy energy drinks in various forms, the FRS chews are, by far, his favorite of the products. For the person on the go, the chews are portable, small, and easy to carry along. An added plus is the fact that these products are not full of caffeine, and don't produce the jittery feeling that coffee, Red Bull, and other energy products elicit.

The FRS website offers their products for sale, and this was our starting point for purchasing. The prices are a little steep, as are the prices with many of the popular energy drinks and energy shots of late, but we found that quantity orders can result in discounts. However, the discounts often stem from making large orders, as we found with a significant order discount for purchasing a 6 month supply, on an auto-ship plan. While this may work well for some individuals, this wasn't a great purchasing option for our household. Many households can't afford to dole out enough money for a 6 month supply at once. 

We then found the FRS healthy energy products in specialty nutrition/supplement stores, such as GNC. While the costs were comparable to those found in direct purchases from FRS, the advantage was no shipping fees.

Still, looking for a more convenient, and frugal approach to purchasing FRS chews, particularly, for my husband, I did a little bit of further research online. Surprisingly, I found a number of FRS products, including the pomegranite-blueberry energy chews, available at much more reasonable prices. Whereas a single 30 packet of chews runs between $15 and $20 from FRS, and was running $18 to $20 in a brick and mortar GNC, I've found some of the FRS products, and especially my husband's chews, at less than $13 for similar quantities. A number of these products are eligible for Amazon Prime shipping, an even greater advantage. Finally, I discovered our particular desired product was available for Amazon's Subscribe and Save program, at a %15 discount, when you arrange for repeated, periodic delivery. That was the selling point, as this is going to be a continued purchase in our household. My husband loves the product, and this is the best price, without requiring a huge quantity at one order.

The healthy energy drinks produced by FRS are great in flavor, though they are not super sweet.  There is a slightly bitter fruit flavor, but not an offensive one.  Think in terms of the fruits used, such as pomegranite, which are already strongly flavored foods.  The energy products mentioned here, likewise, have a strong, fruity flavor, which do not spur sugar cravings, at least as I've experienced them.  While some energy products are extremely sweet, these are not.

Amazon has some of the canned single-serve FRS drinks available, with free Super Saver shipping.  The prices are comparable to FRS, if FRS provides discounts.  However, unless you arrange for auto-ship with FRS, the shipping on these is a hefty cost.  Amazon's shipping benefits make these reasonable when purchased under those conditions.  Given the prices of Red Bull energy drinks, and 5 hour energy shots, in the grocer, this is a reasonably priced, and much healthier selection.
